Food for Friends provides all the groceries for a holiday meal at Thanksgiving\, Christmas and Easter to families in need in the Mooresville area. Additional staple groceries are also provided to each family. St . Patrick's distributes the food to many of the families through the Winnie Hooper Center in Mooresville. This program is unique in that it provides the food so the families can then cook their own holiday meals instead of simply providing a meal at a central location. This program has been in existence for over 10 years and food is provided to 20-25 families each holiday. Over 340 people were served by this program last year.
