DESCRIPTION:Spring is here and that means a time when allergies attack our well being. The number of people in the U.S. who have either allergy or asthma symptoms is one in five. The percentage of the U.S. population that test positive to one or more allergies is 55%. Allergies rank 5th among other leading chronic diseases in the U.S. Learn what you can do to address your allergy problems at a workshop held at the South Iredell Senior Center on April 10 from 11 a.m. to noon. The discussion will include: Causes and symptoms of allergies\, common allergies and tests for them\, as well as\, treatment\, prevention\, and management of allergies. A light lunch will be provided. To attend\, please RSVP by April 4 with a $1 donation to SISC in support of their health promotion programs. No registration by phone. The workshop is sponsored by Bayada Home Health Care.
