DESCRIPTION:Davidson Community Players announces open auditions for its June 2012 production of the Tony award-winning musical\, The Pajama Game. Only American expertise could have created such a musical as this\; a story about a trade union dispute set against a background of factory machines\, played by factory hands\, office workers and shop stewards. Yet it is one of the happiest\, most romantic and richly comical musicals around. Memorable tunes include Hernando's Hideaway\, Steam Heat\, Hey There and I'm not at All in Love.\n\n	\n\n	Auditions will be held Sunday\, February 3rd at 7:00 pm and Monday\, February 4 at 7:00 pm. Callbacks will be held on Monday\, February 11th by invitation only. Auditionees should plan to sign in by 8:00 pm on Sunday or Monday--only one session. Auditions will be held at Davidson Community Players' Armour Street Theatre at 307 Armour Street\, Davidson. All auditioners should prepare 16 bars of a song that shows off their vocal range. Audition pieces should be memorized. Please bring music in the proper key\, an accompanist will be provided. A capella singing is NOT recommended. A dance call will follow the vocal audition\, please dress comfortably and be prepared to move. Auditioners should also bring a recent headshot if available\, list of theatrical experience and list of conflicts for the late April-June time frame. \n\n	\n\n	Please see website for details.
