DESCRIPTION:The 2008 "Cotton" Ketchie Arts Festival will be celebrating its fifth year on August 22nd ? 23rd at the Charles Mack Citizen Center in downtown Mooresville.  Sponsored by the Mooresville/Lake Norman Exchange Club\, it brings art to Mooresville while supporting SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now)\, the Exchange/SCAN Child and Parenting Centers of Iredell County.  Named after our local artist\, ?Cotton? Ketchie\, who is an active member of Exchange and the Board of Directors of the Child Abuse Prevention Centers.  The festival raised over $20\,000 for child abuse prevention last year.  \nThe Friday evening gala on August 22nd  includes a ?meet the artist? reception\, music\, food\, a a live and silent auction. The $50 reserved tickets for the gala can be purchased by e-mailing Tina McCachern at  mccach@gmail.com or by calling Landmark Galleries at 704-664-4122.
