DESCRIPTION:Defensive Handgun I\n\nDefensive Handgun is a Performance based training program.  Developed by Chief Instructor Daniel Richardson\, This course is designed to help the students break through training plateaus\, incorporates challenging courses of fire focusing on marksmanship fundamentals\, trigger control diagnostics as well as weapons manipulation. The methods taught in this course are real world relevant and proven.  Students should expect to see a drastic improvement in their skills upon completion of this course.\n\nWe suggest that students attending this class have basic understanding of handgun safety and fundamentals. Attending Beginner Defensive Handgun is recommended prior to taking this course.\n\nTopics covered:\n\n  Safety as it relates to self-defense with a handgun\n\n  Use of sights\, and manipulation of the trigger\n\n  Grip and stance/holster drawing fundamentals\n\n  Gaining speed while maintaining precision\n\n  Malfunction clearing\n\n  Basic positional shooting\n\n  Shooting under stress\n\nRecommended Equipment:\n\n  200 rounds\n\n  Dress and carry the way he or she carries or intends to carry the handgun\n\n  A handgun chambered in a common defense caliber (semi-auto only)\n\n  A quality (non-collapsing) holster able to be secured to belt (no nylon holsters)\n\n  At least 3 magazines\n\n  Eye and ear protection\n\nPre-requisite:  Beginner Defensive Handgun or Ladies on target for the Ladies on Target for the Ladies only class. \n\nRegistration and prepayment is required.
