DESCRIPTION:Historic Rural Hill will host it's annual First Footin again this year on January 1st. First Footin is a free event that keeps the tradition of Scottish Hogmanay alive. Rural Hill invites everyone to start off the new year with a 1-2 mile hike around the property with stops to learn about the history of Rural Hill and the tradition of Hogmanay. We will end up back at the Rural Retreat cabin for a lunch of stone soup. Anyone in attendance is encouraged to bring a vegetable or canned good for the soup.
