DESCRIPTION:Here at the EnergyExplorium we are hosting a Gardening and Composting Super Saturday event on June 19\, 1 p.m. ? 3 p.m. The EnergyExplorium is located at McGuire Nuclear Station in Huntersville\, NC.\n\n\n\nThe event will feature composting demonstrations\, a presentation on organic gardening\, instruction on how to make a butterfly garden and more. All families will receive a packet of information and a goodie bag.\n\n\n\nGuests will also have the opportunity to watch a movie on butterflies and moths\, walk the EnergyExplorium?s nature trail and participate in a make-your- own-butterfly activity. Don Rosenberg\, owner of Instant Organic Garden\, and author of the book\, "No Green Thumb Required! Organic Family Gardening Made Easy" will give an interactive talk about his new approach to backyard gardening and how to eliminate digging\, tilling and weeding. \n\n\n\nUsing a hands-on approach\, master gardener and McGuire employee David Smith will show guests how to make their own compost heap. He will also talk about vermicomposting- using worms and micro-organisms in composting. \n\n\n\nVisitors are also invited to pack a lunch and enjoy the EnergyExplorium?s picnic facility.
