SUMMARY:Grief Support Group
DESCRIPTION:Are you feeling depressed\, in pain\, confused\, angry? Do you feel like you?re coming unraveled or can?t make decisions? Grief takes much longer than anyone expects. While each of us responds differently to the loss of a loved one\, sharing our experiences with others who are also grieving can be healing. This support group provides a mutually supportive setting that enables participants to appreciate their responses to their loss and to develop a repertoire of coping skills. We will meet on April 6 for approximately 90 minutes. Group time will consist of mini lessons or an educational component and a sharing and support time. The group is led by Wendy Tobin\, a nationally certified counselor since 1997. This support group is designed for adults who have experienced a loss at least 2 months ago and not longer than 2 years ago. Sessions are held at South Iredell Senior Center from 10-11:30 a.m. Call 704-662-3337 by April 4 if you plan to attend.
