SUMMARY:Grief Support Group
DESCRIPTION:While each of us responds differently to the loss of a loved one\, sharing our experiences with others who are also grieving can be healing. This support group will provide a mutually supportive setting that enables participants to appreciate their responses to their loss and to develop a repertoire of coping skills. We will meet twice a month for approximately 90 minutes. Group time will consist of mini lessons or an educational component and a sharing and support time. The group will be led by Wendy Tobin\, a nationally certified counselor since 1997. This support group is designed for adults who have experienced a loss at least 2 months ago and not longer than 2 years ago. Sessions will be held at South Iredell Senior Center from 10-11:30 a.m. the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month starting June 3. Call 704-662-3337 for more information.
