DESCRIPTION:The Lake Norman Big Band   is GOING CRAZY!  As you know\, we are hosting our 2016 Jazz Celebration this weekend.  This our 5th annual version of "Band Camp".   This year\, we are bringing in special guest artist Steve Wiest for a FREE concert to the public this Saturday\, September 17th at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary of Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church at 575 Brawley School Rd. in Mooresville.  On Friday evening from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM the band will rehearse under the direction of Mr. Wiest.  Then on Saturday the band will rehearse as both a large ensemble as well as individual instrumental sections from 9:00 AM - 12:00 noon and again from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM.  During the detailed sectional practices\, Wiest will instruct the trombones\, our music director Alan Kaufman the rhythm section\, Dr. Tracy Patterson the saxes\, and Doug Burns the trumpets.  This Saturday evening we will be playing the FREE public concert at the church beginning at 7:00 PM.
