The annual event also features a one mile "fun run" for children which will start at 9:30am. Both runs begin in front of the college's Statesville campus and follow a course through the city ending back at the college. Proceeds from the event go to the College's Endowment for Excellence. The entry fee for the 5K is $15 before April 24th or $20 the day of the event. The "fun run" for kids is $5 day of race. Awards for first and second place will be presented in several categories.
