DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a benefit cruise on December 17th on the Lady of the Lake luxury yacht here at Queens Landing. The cruise will support the long standing charity Toys for Tots. Toys for Tots first started in 1947\, when Major Bill Hendricks\, USCR and a group of Marine Reservists in Los Angeles first noticed that there was no charity of its kind at the time. Since then Toys for Tots has grown into one of the most recognized nonprofit organizations in the world.\n\nLast year\, the local Toys for Tots program met the needs of 2\,800 children ages birth to 17. This year with the downward turn in the economy the number of needy kids has jumped from 2\,800 to an estimated 4\,000 children. For this reason Jack Williams the owner of Queens Landing is working with Vivian Meletis the local Toys for Tots foundation coordinator to raise not only toys but awareness for the Toys for Tots.\n\nJack Williams is hosting a cruise on the Lady of the Lake on December 17th in hopes to help the Toys for Tots Foundation. The cost to take advantage of this cruise is an unwrapped toy valued at least $20.00 or more. The cruise is also being sponsored by Budweiser\, who will provide free beer to anyone who is 21 and up. Queens Landing will provide delicious hors d'oeuvre for all who attend that night.\n\nThere is limited seating of 110 people on the Lady of the Lake\, therefore tickets will be given out on a first come first serve basis. To make sure you have a spot on the cruise\, please bring in your gift anytime to the Queens Landing office at 1459 River Highway Mooresville NC. Simply give your gift to one of our sales representatives\, and they will hand you your ticket.
