These counseling sessions are intended to assist individuals in understanding the basic steps to starting and operating a small business. \; Topics that are often covered during initial counseling sessions include: \; understanding yourself\, researching your market\, defining your business structure\, determining fees and licensing requirements\, developing a marketing plan\, pricing\, bookkeeping and budgeting\, preparing financial statements\, writing a business plan\, and implementing the plan.
