Veteran?s Day evolved from the Old Armistice Day ending WWI in 1918. It was to be the war that ended all wars, of course we know that it didn?t, and today it has changed to ?Veteran?s Day? to remember and honor veterans of succeeding wars. As a tribute to the brave individuals who have defended our liberty and freedom over the years, South Iredell Senior Center will hold a breakfast social for older adult veterans on Wed., Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. Veterans are encouraged to bring their memorabilia for show and share. For the breakfast, please let the Senior Center know by Nov. 7 if you plan to attend.
