MCC Writers Seriesâ??Tim Peeler, Poet
Peeler, a noted poet from Hickory, will read from his works. He is a winner of the Jim Harrison Award for contributions to baseball literature. He has authored five books of poetry and three regional baseball histories. His poems have been anthologized by Time/Life Books and have been used in an HBO documentary. His latest book is ?Checking Out,? a book of narrative poems related to his eleven years in the hotel business.
