‘Gorillas in the Mist, a Personal Experience’, by Brenda and Ray Heerdt, adventure travelers, will be the topic of the October 17th meeting of the PROBUS Club of Lake Norman. The Heerdt’s will chronicle their incredible experience in Rwanda, East Africa high into the Virunga Mountain Range where they spent up-close and personal time with a family of critically endangered Mountain Gorillas. There are less than 900 Mountain Gorillas left in the world, with none in captivity. All are welcome to attend this free presentation at the PROBUS Club on October 17th, held at the Berea Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Hwy 150, Mooresville, just west of Perth Road. The hour-long program will begin at 10:30. You are invited to join members for lunch at a nearby restaurant following the meeting.
