Caring for a loved one can be very rewarding, but it also has many stressors and challenges: changes in the family dynamic, household disruption, financial pressure, and the added workload. Is it any wonder that caregivers are prone to burnout? The demands of caregiving can be very overwhelming and extremely frustrating, especially if you feel you have no control over the situation or you?re in over your head. Throw in the Holidays and it adds even more stress than anyone can handle. Join us for a workshop to learn how to handle stress and burnout from the day to day duties of being a caregiver. Get tips and techniques on how to manage stress and why less stress is so beneficial to all aspects of your health and well-being. The workshop will be held on Thurs., Nov. 5, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 pm at the South Iredell Senior Center, 202 N. Church Street in Mooresville. This workshop is aimed at educating and providing information to caregivers or individuals that work with senior adults; however, the program is open to interested adults. A light lunch will be provided for all that pre-register by Fri., Oct. 30. Call 704-662-3337 to register.
