Are you feeling depressed, in pain, confused, angry? Do you feel like you?re coming unraveled or can?t make decisions? Grief takes much longer than anyone expects. While each of us responds differently to the loss of a loved one, sharing our experiences with others who are also grieving can be healing. This support group will provide a mutually supportive setting that enables participants to appreciate their responses to their loss and to develop a repertoire of coping skills. We will meet twice a month for approximately 90 minutes. Group time will consist of mini lessons or an educational component and a sharing and support time. The group will be led by Wendy Tobin, a nationally certified counselor since 1997. This support group is designed for adults who have experienced a loss at least 2 months ago and not longer than 2 years ago. Sessions will be held at South Iredell Senior Center from 10-11:30 a.m. the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. Call 704-662-3337 for more information or if you plan to attend.
