All are welcome to observe Ash Wednesday during our special service on Wednesday, February 14th at 7 pm in the Sanctuary. Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent in Western Christianity. It occurs 46 days (40 fasting days, if the six Sundays, which are not days of fast, are excluded) before Easter. As they “impose” or “dispense” the ashes, the pastor or priest reminds each Christian of Genesis 3:19: “For dust you are and to dust you shall return.”
