Serenity House of Mooresville, NC, which is a private home dedicated to the care and comfort of those who are at the end of life, has scheduled a Blessings of the Hands for Wednesday, November 12th at 11 a.m. The Blessing of Hands will be a prayerful time of reflection and will be led by Hospice and Palliative Care Lake Norman chaplains, grief counselors and local pastors. The blessing will be over the hands of the many volunteers and staff who offer care for the residents of Serenity House. It will be followed by a soup and bread luncheon. The general public is encouraged to attend and to learn more about this wonderful ministry right in our midst in Lake Norman. Serenity House, which is staffed by volunteers who become the surrogate family and caregivers to the residents, is a mission unlike any other. They minister to the needs of those who are close to death and who are unable to stay at home for various reasons. The dedication of the staff and volunteers of Serenity House is a true blessing to our community.
