Carolinas HealthCare System is collaborating with the town of Davidson to host a free community seminar that will educate the public and share significant information about behavioral health as the town anticipates the opening of the new behavioral health hospital.
Registration for the free seminar on August 8 is required; call 704-512-3209 or email your name to telehealthevents@carolinashealthcare.org. The event will take place at Davidson College Presbyterian Church, located at 100 North MainStreet, Davidson, from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.
John Santopietro, MD, chief clinical officer for Carolinas HealthCare System’s behavioral health service line, will be the keynote speaker for the summit. Santopietro will discuss the findings of the HIA summit during the community event and his presentation will include the common challenges and solutions to the behavioral health crisis in the United States and the Carolinas.
Topics for the community seminar include:
- the impact of the new behavioral health hospital on the local community.
- how Carolinas HealthCare System’s partnership with Davidson will be a key component to the success of the hospital.
