Carol Gordon Bickford and Martha Earnhardt will be onsite to sign their cookbook titled "Pit Stop in a Southern Kitchen: Two Moms of Racing Legends Serve Up Stories and Recipes" ($19.99).The book includes nearly 200 private recipes shared by family and friends over the years. Additionally, the cookbook features personal stories and includes never-before-seen photos from two of NASCAR’s most well-known families, as well as a foreword from Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
Martha Earnhardt is the wife of racing pioneer Ralph Lee Earnhardt, the mother of the legendary Dale Earnhardt, and the grandmother of racing great Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
Carol Gordon Bickford is the mother of racing great Jeff Gordon. Carol is also part owner of Sweet Grass. She and her husband, John, have been actively involved in the racing world for more than thirty years.
Sweet Grass will also raffle several bottles of Jeff Gordon wine, autographed by the 4 time Nascar Champion{Winner must be 21 years of age and provide proof of age} as well as several cookbooks autographed by both Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr. A raffle ticket will be free with each purchase of a cookbook and with each purchase of $20 or more that day from Sweet Grass Gifts & Home Accessories . Sweet Grass is open from 10am to 8 pm for this special Race Week event.
