We all know that the risk of falls increase as we grow older. Studies show that about one-third of the population over the age of 65 fall each year. Come learn from Senior Helpers what you can do to prevent falling. The program will focus on shaping positive health and safe behaviors among older adults and their families as a means to help prevent falls. The program will be held at South Iredell Senior Center on Fri., Jan. 17 from 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. Although the workshop is designed for caregivers that work with individuals at high risk of falling and seniors concerned about fall, it is open to all adults interested. A light lunch will be included. To attend, please RSVP with $1 to South Iredell Senior Center by Fri., Jan. 10. No registration by phone. The event is sponsored by Summit Place.
