- For centuries, we’ve known that the health of the brain and the body are connected. But now, science is able to provide insight into how to optimize our physical and cognitive health as we age. Learn about research in the area of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement, and use hands-on tools to help you incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging. This FREE program will be held at the South Iredell Senior Center on Wed., March 7 at 2 p.m., snacks provided. As part of community and professional education programs, the Alzheimer’s Association of Western North Carolina has partnered with the Iredell Council on Aging to bring this FREE educational program to you.
