The Inaugural Historic Mooresville Tour of Homes October 20 & 21, 2007 Two new ventures, both steeped in Mooresville?s history: DEJ Realty proudly presents the inaugural Historic Mooresville Tour of Homes. Featuring nine homes never before opened to the public as well as three historic buildings in Dowtown Mooresville, the Tour of Homes will allow you access to historic dreamhomes you?ve always wanted to visit. Inside the homes, you?ll be treated to an oral history of the home and the important treasures it holds. The tour will held October 20 from 10-6 and October 21 from 1-5. Tickets to the tour are $12.00 in advance and can be purchased at the tour?s website, www.historicmooresvilletourofhomes.com or at several local merchants including The Garden Party downtown. You can also purchase tickets at any of the participating homes on the day of event for $15.00. A VIP reception and exclusive tour of the Brawley-Cashion House will be held on Friday, October 19th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. This stately 1906 home on Wilson Avenue was the ?city home? of Thomas Oscar Brawley, who lived on what is now Brawley School Road. The home still belongs to descendents of Mr. Brawley. The Brawley-Cashion House will not be open to the general public during the tour, and a limited number of tickets will be sold. Tickets are $25 and can also be purchased on the website. For details about the homes, dates, and tickets, visit the tour?s website, www.historicmooresvilletourofhomes.com. The Historic Mooresville Tour of Homes is a project of the Mooresville Historic Preservation Commission, and proceeds benefit the HPC?s preservation projects.
