We need YOU to attend the Iredell County Workforce Development Summit, Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Charles Mack Citizen Center, 215 N. Main Street, Mooresville. The summit will begin with a breakfast at 8:15am and will adjourn at noon. The I.C. Workforce Development Summit offers business leaders an opportunity to come together to share educational and training needs required by their companies to learn what is available, and to jointly determine the gaps that need to be filled by educators in the community. YOUR SUPPORT IS GREATLY NEEDED AND APPRECIATED!! The summit will feature Jeff Chambers, VP of human resources at the SAS Institute. SAS employees work in an environment that fosters and encourages the integration of the company's business objectives with their personal needs. David Hollars, Executive Director of the Centralina Workforce Development Board will provide an update on the ''State of the Workforce'' based on a recent regional survey. Attendees will get a chance to take part in a ''live'' interactive study of developmental needs and discuss the results. The program will conclude with a panel discussion. Working Together- Employers, Educators and Community can collaberatively build a foundation that ensures our area a strong, skilled workforce that is prepared to meet the challenges of our growing global economy.
