Lake Norman Beerfest

The biggest names in brewing will gather at the Galway Hooker in Cornelius, N.C., on May 23, 2015, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. for the fifth annual Lake Norman Beerfest, a spectacular showcase of the nation?s and region?s craft beers. Headline entertainment will include Joystick and Gump Fiction. This outdoor celebration of craft beers will showcase some of the finest breweries throughout the world, each providing samples of their best brewing achievements. The featured breweries will include D9 Brewery, Bayne Brewing Co. Sierra Nevada and many more! ?After a year off, we are excited to be back at the lake and look forward to showcasing some of the world?s finest brews for the area?s beer enthusiasts,? says Chris Boukedes, Executive Director of the Lake Norman Beerfest. ?The North Carolina region has distinguished itself as home to one of the fastest growing community of brewers and we?re proud to celebrate this culture of craftsmanship and artisan brewing at the Lake Norman Beerfest.? The festival will also feature live music, a variety of great food and fun for people ages 21 and over. Live entertainment will be provided by Joystick and Gump Fiction. Joystick is the Band that gets the Party Started and takes you reminiscing back to your favorite HITS of the 70's, 80"s & 90's, Party Rock & even a little Country. The band has been satisfying clients and leaving their guests wanting more and more. Brewers will feature unique areas where fans can learn more about the brewers, sample their offerings and have fun by participating in special beer-themed games and events. Fan experience areas include, Carolina Country, Corona Find Your Beach, the Guinness Irish Hills, among others. An exclusive VIP tasting will be held from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., which includes limited edition beers from top brewers along with a commemorative pint glass and t-shirt from the event. General admission prices for the Lake Norman Beerfest are $40 in advance, $50 at the door and VIP admission is $75. All ticket packages include an unlimited sampling of brews and access to all music performances. General admission includes a sampling of craft beers, a Lake Norman Beerfest sampling glass and live entertainment. The VIP package includes all general admission benefits plus expedited entrance line at the gate, VIP area with exclusive craft beers not available to other festival attendees, hospitality area and VIP ? only restroom facilities, and a VIP gift bag with a t-shirt and custom pint glass. The Lake Norman Beerfest was created to raise awareness for Cornelius area businesses, craft beer education and to raise funds to support non-profit organizations.
