This FREE class focuses on learning to live a healthier life with arthritis, osteoporosis, diabetes, and many other conditions that challenge us as we age. Classes are highly participative and sharing is encouraged. Mutual support and success build participant confidence in their own ability to manage their health and maintain active and fulfilling lives. Subjects covered will include: dealing with frustration, fatigue and pain, exercising for improving strength, flexibility and endurance, appropriate use of medications, how to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, nutrition and how to evaluate treatments. The class will be taught every Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to noon starting March 17. Participants receive training materials and a FREE Healthy Living book. A snack will be provided.
