Mooresville Concerts first performance of the season, Wally & Dave, will be 3:00, Sunday, October 9, 2011 at the Joe Knox Theater, Charles Mack Citizen’s Center. Wally & Dave is a local duo which has been singing and playing what is loosely called “classic rock” in the local area for just more than five years. They also refer to it as a "hop scotch" of styles and influences ranging from Bob Dylan, Jimmy Buffet, Zack Brown, Steely Dan, Tom Petty, to the Allman Brothers, as well as "cover" tunes which they have stylized to their own arrangements. Selections include tunes from the 70s thru to today's popular music. Wally and Dave have a good chemistry and complimentary styles that will present a great evening of listening. A “Meet The Artists” reception will follow the concert. Tickets are $10, $5 for students, children under 10 free, or season passes at $45. Tickets may be purchased starting two weeks prior to each performance at the Mooresville Recreation Dept office, online at MooresvilleRecreation.org or by calling (704) 663-7026. Tickets will be sold at the door on the day of the concert subject to availability. Tickets will no longer be sold at the Charles Mack Citizen except immediately prior to the performance.
