All senior adults are invited to be a Senior Advocate on Mon., March 7 at 3 p.m. at South Iredell Senior Center. The Mayor?s Senior Round Table Committee will be available for open dialog to get your input, hear your concerns and note the changes you say need to be made to the Mooresville on Main Transportation System. The committee?s goal is to help Mooresville become more senior friendly. Their efforts include identifying areas of priority for senior adults and advocating for change. Areas that have been identified through a senior community survey developed by the committee include: accessible and affordable housing, improved transportation, parking, etc. Currently housing and transportation is the work at hand. The Mayor and various commissioners serve on this committee and are eager to get your input. Their desire is to give senior adults a voice in the matters that concern them. This meeting has been arranged so that senior adults have the opportunity to voice their option, concerns and needs in regards to transportation in Mooresville. We encourage you to take this opportunity to advocate so that the changes needed for older adults take place. Help us to help Mooresville become more senior friendly, come prepared with your question and join us for this open dialog session. Joining the dialog session will be Bradley Johnson, ICATS Transportation System Director, and John Finan the Town?s Public Works Manager.
