National Healthcare Decisions Day exists to inspire, educate and empower the public and providers about the importance of advance care planning. It is an initiative to encourage patients to express their wishes regarding healthcare and for providers and facilities to respect those wishes, whatever they may be. Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County will conduct a FREE seminar on Thurs., April 2 at South Iredell Senior Center as a means of educating and informing professionals working with older adults and the general public about Advance Healthcare Directives. Come learn how to help older adults and their families clearly state through a series of Advance Healthcare Directive forms their medical care wishes.
