“Use it or Lose it: What’s the Evidence,” by Dr. Kristi Multhaup, Vail Professor of Psychology, Davidson College, will be the program at the October 15th meeting of the PROBUS Club of Lake Norman. Does research support the popular adage of “use it or lose it”, for example, should we all doing crossword puzzles or sudoku’s every morning to keep our mind fit? All are welcome to attend this free presentation at the PROBUS Club on October 15th, held at the Berea Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Hwy 150, Mooresville, just west of Perth Road. Coffee and fellowship begin at 10 a.m. The hour-long program will begin at 10:30. You are invited to join members for lunch at a nearby restaurant following the meeting. The Probus Club of Lake Norman is composed of retired people from the professional and business sectors who join together in a non-political, non-sectarian manner to meet like-minded individuals, keep minds active, make new friends and expand interests. This club meets monthly, and gatherings include a half-hour coffee social, followed by a brief business meeting and a presentation by a guest speaker who will address a topic of mutual interest. Guests are welcome.
