The First Annual Racing4Vets Veteran Kart Challenge to Benefit Service-Disabled U.S. Military Veterans will be held at GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, NC on May 19, 2014.
This exciting event features 20 NASCAR® drivers racing high performance go karts in a two hour team relay format along with race fans and service-disabled veterans. Each 4-person kart team will include a NASCAR® driver and race fans. 50 fans will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to purchase seats to race with NASCAR® drivers.
Event activities include:
- A free autograph signing session with NASCAR® drivers and team owners
- A 2 hour endurance kart race with each 4-person team made up of a NASCAR® driver and race fans. Racing4Vets will field two race teams of service-disabled veterans.
- A raffle and auction of NASCAR® race memorabilia, racing gear and donated items
- A “Wall of Significance” to pay respect to our fallen and injured U.S. Military Veterans
- A chance to visit sponsors’ demonstration booths
- An opportunity to meet and greet service-disabled U.S. military veterans
- A food drive for local veterans in need
GoPro Motorplex is located at 130 Motorplex Drive, Mooresville NC, 28115. Gates open at 5:00 PM. Admission starts at $10 and race seats are $75. You can buy tickets and race seats online at www.veterankartchallenge.com or at the track.
