Cooking doesn't have to be a chore, it can be fun! Let's get together and stir up some yummy dishes. Come learn how to plan healthier food choices, simplify cooking methods and minimize the clean-up that takes away some of the fun. Cooking at home is healthier and can be far more economical than eating out or using prepackaged meals. Watch healthy homemade soup being made and enjoy taste samples at the end of the class. For the workshop, fresh, in season produce will be used whenever possible. Feel free to bring recipes and ideas to share. This workshop will be held on Tues., Nov. 18 at 10 a.m., and led by June Summers, a graduate of Culinary School and former manager of restaurants. She has a passion for cooking and has a great love for nutrition. Everyone is encouraged to join in the fun as we explore food possibilities. Pre-registration for this workshop is required by Mon., Nov. 10. There is no fee, but space is limited.
