The grassroots organization, Stand Up North Carolina, will host a State/Local Judicial Review session during their May 4th meeting
Superior Court Judge Joe Crosswhite and District Court Judge Tom Church will be the key presenters at the meeting. Judge Church, serving District 22A consisting of Iredell and Alexander Counties, has served the public of North Carolina for 34 years. He is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in Business Administration and Wake Forest University School of Law. Judge Church is a retired Lt. Col. from the Army Reserves and has served in the Judge Advocate General Corps. He has also served as an assistant District Attorney, an assistant U.S. Attorney and served on the drug task force. The Judge is married with 5 children and 2 grandchildren.
Judge Crosswhite has served on the Superior Court bench since February 2009, and is married with 2 children. Superior Court Judges are elected in non-partisan elections for an eight year term.
Both Judges will offer the Lake Norman Stand Up North Carolina group an overview of the North Carolina court system with discussion on ways to improve our courts.
