This FREE Living Healthy Self-Management Program will give you the tools to live a healthier life with a chronic health problem. Developed by Stanford University Patient Education Research Center, the subjects covered include: dealing with frustration, fatigue, pain, and depression; exercising for improving strength, flexibility and endurance; medications and communicating effectively with healthcare professionals; decision making; weight management and nutrition. The class will be taught at the South Iredell Senior Center every Wednesday, from 1:30-4:00 p.m. for six weeks. Participants will receive a text book (to keep) containing valuable information, tips, and ideas to make your life easier. Refreshments will be served.
