Lake Norman Woman Magazine will celebrate its Top Ten Finalists of the First Annual Women of Will Awards at a special luncheon and ceremony on Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 11 am to 1:30 pm at the Charles Mack Citizen Center in Mooresville. A total of 51 women were nominated for the 2013 Women of Will Awards. A selection committee chose the ten finalists who will be honored in the December issue of the publication and at the awards presentation which will be emceed by Sheri Lynch, nationally syndicated host of The Bob & Sheri Show.

Individual tickets may be purchased for $40 each, or reserve a table for $300. Tickets are available to the public and may be purchased online at www.lakenormanwoman.com A portion of the proceeds will benefit Safe Alliance in the effort to empower women struggling with domestic and sexual violence, child abuse and emotional trauma. The Lake Norman community responded with nominations of exceptional women who go beyond, create, discover, persist and soar. They are women whose stories may not have glitz and glamour that make headlines, but their stories demonstrate the strength, determination, courage, conviction, integrity, compassion and leadership they employed to make their dreams come true.
From the 51 candidates, the selection committee determined the following ten finalists; Miriam Arteaga, Arlene Berkman, Kathleen Holden, Barbara Johnson, Sandra Dopf Lee, Jean Mims, Charlene Pell, Danielle Ratliff, Sandy Tilley and Joy Warner. Of these women, one will be named the 2013 ?Woman of Will.?
